Martin Scorsese
He was born on 17 November 1942 in Queens, New York. He was an asthmatic when he was a child and he spent most time watching films. He went to study film at NYU. He directed his first film Boxcar Bertha, starring Barbara Hershey and David Carradine.
He became one of the leader of new artistic movement in America. This movement was inspired by the French New Wave. Francis Ford Coppola, Paul Schrader and him create new style of filmmaking that never appeared in Hollywood before. He directed many remarkable films including Taxi Driver (1976)and Raging Bull (1980). His later films were trend to be in a smaller scale. He also directed the other quality films like Goodfellas (1990) and The Departed (2006)
