Nicholas Ray
He was born on 7 August 1911, Galesville, Wisconsin, USA. He studied architecture and worked in New York Theater. He always interested in politics. His favorite movie theme is the two lovers searching for a quite place to live in peace. His successful Hollywood films are Johnny Guitar (1954), Bigger Than Life (1956). Then he traveled to Europe and made Bitter Victory (1957),  King of Kings (1961) and 55 Days at Peking (1963).
Due to his bisexuality and a heavy use of drugs and alcohol. He was shut out of Hollywood industry in the early 1960s. He did not direct anything again until the mid 1970s. His last film was Lightning Over Water (1980).
