Sidney Lumet

He was born on 25 June 1924, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He was a child actor. His parent were also actor and dancer. He directed many America memorable films Serpico (1973), Dog Day Afternoon (1975) and Network (1976).  He has received more than 50 Academy Award nominations. He was known for his ability to pull the best performance from actors.

His films often deal with social themes like the law, police and Jewish race. He often shot his films in New york and often drama. He is an expert with camera works. Each shorts and angles in his films have to relate to the storytelling and emotions. He has developed his own unique styles of camera, lighting and set design.
