EMMELINE sit at a bench located on the side of a small road with a Vespa motorcycle parking next to them. There is an invisible light source spots on the top the place, leaves the area around them in totally darkness. There are millions of stars in the sky. They can see a big full moon on their left side.

Emmeline sit at her right side of the bench. She counts the stars with her finger.

RICHARD walks in circle, thinking about something. He always walks in her way as she counts the stars. She always has to avoid him.

She stops counting when she reaches one thousand. She grabs a small wooden box placing underneath the bench, opens it. In the box, there is a folded brown paper. She unfolded it. It is full of SMALL ROCKS inside. She picks up a rock around that area. She gently puts it in the paper with other rocks.

Emmeline nudges Richard to see the rocks. Richard glances at the rocks once and ignores her. She closes the box and shakes it. She continues counting the stars.

Richard sits, takes out his lucky coil from the necklet. He looks at both side of THE COIL. He compares the size of THE COIL to the moon. He closes his eyes, prays. He flips the coil in the air. He slowly reveals the side the coil. It’s a TAIL. He looks disappointed. He flips the coil again. It’s also a TAIL. He looks more disappointed. He flips it again and it also a TAIL. He screams to the moon without sound, before throws it away. He sits still for a while before running out to get the coil back.

Emmeline watches him run out to the dark. She slowly gets up, follows him.

CUT TO: Emmeline and Richard sit at the left side of the bench. Emmeline holds Richard around her arms. Richard coils up on the bench full of sweat, holding THE COIL tight.

CUT TO: Emmeline and Richard sit apart at each side again. Richard turns his back to Emmeline. He seems calm. He looks at the moon with absent-minded. Emmeline plays with a spaceship toy. She swings it around the sky across the moon. She crashed the spaceship on the bench. Richard turns back, looks around the sky, signs her to be quite then takes away the toy from her.

Emmeline sits still, looks a little bit upset. Richard grabs the spaceship up, points it to the moon. He flips the toy over. Under the toy, it labeled ‘RICHARD’.

‘CLAIR DE LUNE’ is played from nowhere. Emmeline looks up at the sky, looks at the moon.

The moon is slowly changed its color from purple to pink. The colorful Milky Way appears on the sky.

Emmeline gapes as she looks at it. Richard looks at the sky, surprised.

Emmeline gets up, grabs the wooden box, pushes the Vespa out as if she is ready to go. She stands beside the Vespa waiting for Richard.

Richard hesitates. He glances at the spaceship toy and the moon. Emmeline walks to him, grabs his arm to the Vespa. He leaves the toy at the bench.

Richard tossed her hand away. He shakes his head. He points at the fuel indicator. There is only a half full in the tank.

Emmeline hands the key to him. He refuses to take it. She tries to give him again but he won’t accept.

But what if we can’t go back?

Emmeline doesn’t know what he says. Richard whispers closely to her ear.

But what if we can’t go back?

Then it doesn’t matter.

Both of them look shocked. Emmeline covers her mouth with her hands. They look at the sky. The Milky Way and the moon slowly disappear.

Richard screams out loud like a crazy person. He wipes the wooden box on her hand on the floor. The small rocks in the box spread on the floor, mixing with the other rocks.

Richard walks back to sit at the bench. Emmeline walks toward him. He throws the spaceship toy to her.

She picks up the toy, places it on the other side of the chair. She picks up the wooden box, tries to collect the rocks back but they are all mix up with other rocks. She gives up. She holds the box in her arm tightly, walks away to the darkness.

As time passes, Emmeline hasn’t come back. Richard starts to worry. He starts walking around the area looking for Emmeline. He decides to go out to find her.

Richard walks back, very tired. He cannot find her. He sits, looks at the other empty side of the bench with the spaceship toy on it. He picks it up, starts crying.

‘Clair de Lune’ is played once again. The moon and the Milky Way appear back on. Richard shouts at the moon. This time the moon doesn’t disappear. He throws the toy to it, picks up the rocks on the floor and starts throwing. He stops, holds the rocks in his hand.

Emmeline walks in from the dark area, looks very excited. She points at the moon to sign him that the moon is back.

Richard rushes to Emmeline. He holds her tightly in his arm. She looks surprised. There are the BOX and the KEY in her hands. He holds her like he never let her go again.

Richard takes the key from her hand, grabs her to the Vespa. He starts the engine.

He rides the Vespa in circle.

Where do you wanna go?

It doesn’t matter.

He turns the Vespa to the opposite direction of the moon and drive away.
