François Ozon
He was born on 15 November 1967, Paris, France. He studied and received a master degree in Cinema at a French famous school La FEMIS in Paris 1990. He made a lot of short films shooting in super-8, video, 16mm and 35 mm. Many of his short films were shown in many international film festival.
His Une robe d’été (1996) got an award at the film festival of Locarno and gained an international attention. He has shifted his film styles of one to another. From musical, crime, mystery, thriller to drama such as Gouttes d’eau sur pierres brûlantes (2000) and 8 femmes (2002) Les amants criminels (1999) and Sous le sable (2000). He was influenced by Rohmer, Fassbinder, Buñuel, Hitchcock, Sirk
