Mike Nichols

He was born on 6 November 1931 in Berlin, Germany. He is an American stage director who like to explore the horror of the modern life and relationship. He immigrated to America when he was seven. He went to the University of Chicago. He studied acting in New York before returned to Chicago. He traveled to all over America to perform a Broadway show An Evening with Mike Nichols and Elaine May. He then began to direct Broadway show Barefoot in the Park (1963). He also directed many commercials. HeĀ  won Tony awards for Barefoot in the Park, Luv (1964), The Odd Couple (1965), Plaza Suite (1968), The Prisoner of 2nd Avenue (1971), and Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing (1984). His first film was The Gin Game (1977). His most famous film came later in 1967 when he direct The Graduate (1967). He continues making film until now.
